America the Beautiful

Here is an easy version of America the Beautiful, just in time for the Fourth of July. Students at this level usually haven't learned dotted quarter notes, but since my students play the way they sing, I wrote them in. I teach dotted quarter notes by rote in familiar hymns like this. Also, if your students only play in C position, this hymn may be a stretch. One way to get students playing in different starting positions is to try it out with familiar melodies.
